Hello there! Let's ignore the fact that I haven't posted anything in two months, shall we? (In fact, I've barely even done my nails at all in that time, which is super depressing!) I'm here with awesome news today, which is that ALIQUID Lacquer is officially two years old. :-D
Can you believe that?? I had never expected that I would ending up owning a business, much less keep it up this long, but here we are! I can't express how grateful I am to everyone who has purchased from me, swatched for me and otherwise supported this little endeavor.
Oh, did I mention I'm about to turn 30 too?? That's even crazier! I was just getting used to thinking of myself as a twenty-something!
I'm going to have sales going in the shop every day until Cyber Monday--today you can get 30% off the When in Rome collection, so go check it out!
I also released a new polish for the occasion. It's called Old Dog, New Tricks, and I'm pretty fond of it:
OK, on to the part you've been waiting for...the GIVEAWAY!!
I'm giving away three polishes of the winner's choice. This is open internationally and runs until 11:59 PM on November 30. Cheating entries will be deleted! The winner will have 48 hours to respond to my email.
Good luck my polishing friends :-)

Happy anniversary!!! I'm thinking (well, maybe more so extremely hoping, lol) that the next trend is a holo and flakie mix in polishes! I've gotten many of that finish from a certain indie, and I absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary and happy birthday! 30s are the best :D
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary and have a wicked Dirty 30!!
ReplyDeleteI think the indie community is reaching saturation with holos and people are going to start looking for perfect, highly pigmented, glossy cremes (good for water marbling), complex shimmer shades and "elegant" polishes. Holos will never go away but indie makers will diversify their offerings.
DeleteHappy birthday and anniversary!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary and early Happy Birthday! It's tough to call what the next trend will be, as I feel like so many interesting finishes have already been done! I never dreamed nail polish could be as pretty as indie polish is :)
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I don't really pay much attention to trends, so I have no idea. Maybe the metallic flake things ILNP & Pretty Serious has coming out?
ReplyDeleteYou are my favorite indie brand, and im so proud of your anniversary! I think the next trend will be a continuation of holo everywhere, not that i mind. ;)
ReplyDeleteIntense holo jellies for layered nail art, or jellies with large flakies to mimic the shattered glass trend would be great!
ReplyDeleteHappy fantastiversary! (And Bday!)
ReplyDeleteI think that the next big trend might be something with gel polishes, or maybe glitter placement!
Happy anniversary to one of the most amazing indie brand out there! I'm so glad you're still around and growing!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! The next big trend? Oh goodness.. Maybe things will take a complete 180 and sheer, work appropriate polishes will be the new thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd happy birthday too! My 30th birthday was my favorite. :)
DeleteCongratulations! <3 Here's to many successful years to come! (This is Fedoraharp, it's my personal account :D)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I 100% feel you on the not getting around to blogging thing. I'm trying to keep up with blogging and business and it's exhausting to do both! And I haven't even registered as a business yet, I can't even imagine how much more busy you must be @_@ I do manage to post every now and again on my blog, but nothing like the rate I used to.
DeleteYay, happy anniversary and happy birthday! I'm a late November baby, too (the 26th)! Honestly I have no idea what the next trend will be. Glitters, holos, jellies, and creams have already trended pretty hard and I don't really know what else there is to trend! I do hope that glitters will slow down, though; as much as I love them, they're a pain to remove and I'm more likely to turn to a metallic frequently.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary and birthday! You're definitely one of my favorite indie brands so I hope you stick around for a long time (or, as long as you like it!)! I'm not a very trendy person, but I agree with Tanya that holos might peak either now or pretty soon and people will turn to simpler looks. I also love flakies so I hope they are going to get more popular!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 2 years, and may you have a wonderful Birthday.
ReplyDeleteThe next trend, hmmm? Well since broken glass nail art is big right now, maybe polish with big flakies.
I couldn't begin to guess the next big trend. Neutrals, maybe? Even the young 'uns seem to be liking the taupes these days...
ReplyDeleteMetallic, with glitter long lasting polish.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your indie anniversary and your almost birthday! I, honestly have no idea what the next trend might be. I'm very new to the nail art and indie polish world. If I had to guess, it might have something to do with the new trend of shattered glass looking nails. Maybe a polish with the foils in them to make it easy to do that style.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any idea what the next trend will be, but selfishly I hope it will be something to do with interesting and unusual color combinations with no glitter or holo! I'm so tired of holos. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy 2nd fantastiversary and almost 30th birthday! Congrats on the 2 years, and may you be around for many many more. I love ALIQUID Lacquer :) As for the next nail trend...I have no idea. I'm always slightly behind the times, but I hope whatever it is still involves holo in some way.
ReplyDeleteI think holos now exist in every shade of the rainbow and people will start to shift to other complex shades. Maybe flecked jellies, crellies... not full on glitter but something that gives a more subtle depth and interest.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2nd fantastiversary! And almost welcome to the dirty thirties :)
ReplyDeleteWhat is there left for polish? Cyborg inlays, maybe? ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary and Birthday! I'm thinking Metallic Shards? I've been seeing them. I'll be 30 in January!
ReplyDeleteAt this point, indie cremes would seem revolutionary. ^.^
ReplyDeleteGosh, I'm not sure what will be next in the Indie polish world, but I'm always up for a good crelly packed with interesting glitter.
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew. I would like to see more glass flecks and those beautiful scattered holos from Zoya.
ReplyDeleteTough to say, but I think we'll be seeing fewer glitterbombs for sure. I've been seeing a lot of simpler finishes and I'm so into it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Happy anniversary and birthday!! I think metallic shards will be a big trend this coming year.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I am not really sure!
ReplyDeleteI can't really even think of the next trend, there have been so many! I wonder if the spray on nail polish that's coming out is even going to work or be the next big thing. I think it's nails inc.
ReplyDeleteChrome or sprays I think :)
ReplyDeleteI dont know it
ReplyDeletehowever i love your blog
congratulations and thanks for this chance
I'm usually surprised when a new trend comes. I don't like textures in polish so I hope it doesn't include that.
ReplyDeleteIts hard to predict but I'm hoping the glass shard and either holo/textured/metallic will combine!

ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI guess the next trend will be holo flakies...
i'm usually always surprised by trends so honestly i am not sure... but texture and holos seem to be pretty big!
ReplyDeleteHappy blog anniversary! I think the next big trend will be holo flakies! ;)
ReplyDeleteNo idea what the next trend will be. I'm thinking maybe really neutral-ish type colors?
ReplyDeleteHappy Bogiversay!
ReplyDeleteI guess the sparkly glittery could be the next trend! xx
Love XoxoX
the shattered glass trend
ReplyDeleteWow, I have no idea. Maybe getting back to the basics? Just really solid polishes with great color saturation an staying power?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what the next big trend is going to be, but it doesn't matter. I am a polisholic, if it's beautiful I will buy them.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! I'm not sure about trends. As long as it's not bubble nails, we'll be OK! Hehe.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI think top coat effect shiny or rainbow glittery , or broken glass would be great :)
Congratulations! I'm 30 for almost a year and still not used to it. I't's hard to tell about the next trend, but I would love to see more of glass flecks combined with holographic effect.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping the next trend will be simple and classic.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea.. they always end up catching me off guard hah! I kind of hope that the micro glitter-confetti-fuzzy manis come back!
ReplyDeleteI like it.
