May's Gimme That Polish!

Whoa, can you believe it's June already? 2015 is almost half over, you guys. Although I will be happy when the days start getting shorter again, since right now the sun wakes us up at around 5:30!

1. Dance Legend - Map of Scars

Have you seen these weird new textured polishes that Dance Legend has come up with? I feel like they completely slipped under the radar, but I think they're super interesting! When they dry they develop this wrinkled pattern. I really want to see this in real life! (Dance Legend shop | swatch by Marine Loves Polish)

2. Powder Perfect - Borders of the Forest

This one has a lot going on, but it's still very moody and toned-down. Definitely makes me think of a haunted forest! (Powder Perfect shop | swatch by The Nail Polish Project)

3. Femme Fatale - Lantern Waste

OK, I'll be honest, I could NOT pick a favorite from the White Witch collection. So you're going to have to go look at all of them! Femme Fatale has been hitting it out of the park this year--great combos of textures that you wouldn't expect together, and some very magical colors. (Femme Fatale shop | swatch by Very Emily)

4. Lacquer Lust - Son of a Beachin' Unicorn

Love this unexpected combo--delicate holo fairy dust then WHAM! neon glitter. Clever and fun. (Lacquer Lust shop | swatch by Very Emily)

5. Reverie Nail Lacquer - Berry Sorbet

Another happy glitter mix from Reverie! This really screams summer to me, even without any neon. (Reverie Nail Lacquer shop | swatch by The Mercurial Magpie)

April's Gimme That Polish!

1. Dollish Polish - I Gave Her My Heart, She Gave Me a Pen

This one's a little more girly than my usual favorites, but I'm a huge sucker for a good full-coverage microglitter. I think it's the little flashes of purple that really make it. (Dollish Polish shop | swatch by Accio Lacquer)

2. Renaissance Cosmetics - Petals & Things

This is one of the few ultrachrome flakie toppers that I've really been taken with, I think because it has an overall softer and more elegant feel than most. (Renaissance Cosmetics shop | swatch by Wondrously Polished)

3. KBShimmer - Shell Shock

As we know, KBShimmer is a glitter crelly powerhouse, and every collection has new fabulous color combos that I MUST HAVE. This one manages to be both soft and summery at the same time. (KBShimmer shop | swatch by The Lacquerologist)

4. A England - Captive Goddess

I'll be honest, I couldn't really pick a favorite from the Rossetti's Goddess collection, so this is really just a stand-in for all of them. A England does this kind of metallic holo SO WELL. (A England shop | swatch by Marine Loves Polish)

5. Reverie Nail Lacquer - Lily Pads

Just like I love KBShimmer's glitter crellies, I've really been admiring Reverie's glitter jellies, although I don't own any (yet). She's great at mixing a bunch of different colors that still work together! (Reverie Nail Lacquer shop | swatch by The Mercurial Magpie)

January's Gimme That Polish!

1. Emily de Molly - Ariel's Realm

As I'm sure you know, ultrachrome flakies are all the rage right now. I love that brands have started incorporating them into more complex polishes rather than just making clear toppers. This is a super sexy one with a blue jelly base...definitely makes me think "mermaid"! (Emily de Molly shop | swatch by More Nail Polish)

2. Hare Polish - When the Melting Clock Strikes Midnight

This is another flakie-based polish, this time in a white crelly. I love the way the white base softens the look of the flakies, but you still get bright flashes of color here and there! (Hare Polish shop | swatch by Shelby Lou Nails)

3. Femme Fatale - Stand in the Clouds

OK, this combo of bright aqua and gold just scratches some itch for me like no other color combo. Don't care if it's sheer. Gimme!! (There's actually another polish in this same collection that I love too, In His House He Waits Dreaming.) (Femme Fatale shop | swatch by Very Emily)

4. Reverie Nail Lacquer - Provence

I'm such a sucker for interesting glitter mixes. This one has a great selection of colors and sizes--I think it's the splashes of purple that really make it. No gimmicky glitter shapes, just pure sparkly goodness! (Reverie Nail Lacquer shop | swatch by The Mercurial Magpie)

5. F.U.N Lacquer - Blessing (H)

I know ultrachromes are soooo last year, but that gold holo glitter is just calling to me. I know I'm not alone! (F.U.N Lacquer shop | swatch by Simply Nailogical)
