June's Gimme That Polish!

Hey gang! It's a new month already (how??) so of course I have my top lemmings from last month to show you! As usual, I've linked to the original reviews so you can read more about them.

1. Dance Legend - Evolution

No, it's not summery, but just look at that blue glow! Dance Legend is pretty much at the top of my "favorite brands I don't own any of" list, know what I mean? (swatch by More Nail Polish | Dance Legend shop)

2. Rescue Beauty Lounge - Refined and Polished

I straight up love the unusual color combo here! Plus, this polish was designed by Lakeisha of Refined and Polished, who is a pretty awesome lady. (swatch by Manicurator | Rescue Beauty Lounge shop)

3. Literary Lacquers - Bottletown

I still love it when people add extra stuff to holos--I mean, yes, holos are amazing, but more stuff = more amazing! In this case you get extra blue and rainbow flashes, alongside that interesting shade of green. (swatch by The Mercurial Magpie | Literary Lacquers shop)

4. Glam Polish - Crystal Couture

I've been seeing this style of polish (silver holo base plus sprinklings of glitter) everywhere lately, and I love the bling factor. No surprise that Glam Polish does it well! (swatch by KellieGonzo | Glam Polish shop)

5. Elevation Polish - When the Cherry Met the Spoon

I don't really go for red polish, but nudge it just a bit towards purple and I must have it! This jelly is so squishy looking, I almost want to eat it (note: do not eat nail polish). (swatch by Manicurator | Elevation Polish shop)

Honorable mention: LynB Designs - Servitude

May's Gimme That Polish!

Whoa, can you believe it's June already? 2015 is almost half over, you guys. Although I will be happy when the days start getting shorter again, since right now the sun wakes us up at around 5:30!

Anyway, today I've got my top lemmings from last month (visit my Pinterest board to see the rest). As always, be sure to go read the original reviews for more info!

1. Dance Legend - Map of Scars

Have you seen these weird new textured polishes that Dance Legend has come up with? I feel like they completely slipped under the radar, but I think they're super interesting! When they dry they develop this wrinkled pattern. I really want to see this in real life! (Dance Legend shop | swatch by Marine Loves Polish)

2. Powder Perfect - Borders of the Forest

This one has a lot going on, but it's still very moody and toned-down. Definitely makes me think of a haunted forest! (Powder Perfect shop | swatch by The Nail Polish Project)

3. Femme Fatale - Lantern Waste

OK, I'll be honest, I could NOT pick a favorite from the White Witch collection. So you're going to have to go look at all of them! Femme Fatale has been hitting it out of the park this year--great combos of textures that you wouldn't expect together, and some very magical colors. (Femme Fatale shop | swatch by Very Emily)

4. Lacquer Lust - Son of a Beachin' Unicorn

Love this unexpected combo--delicate holo fairy dust then WHAM! neon glitter. Clever and fun. (Lacquer Lust shop | swatch by Very Emily)

5. Reverie Nail Lacquer - Berry Sorbet

Another happy glitter mix from Reverie! This really screams summer to me, even without any neon. (Reverie Nail Lacquer shop | swatch by The Mercurial Magpie)

Honorable mention: Dollish Polish - You Are a Product of Fear

March's Gimme That Polish!

Hi gang! I've been a bad blogger this week. In fact, I haven't even done my nails! I've been slightly absorbed with getting ready for my newest collection (which is out now!). But I promise to do better in April!

So of course I have to show you my top five lemmings from my Pinterest board for last month. As always, go visit the original swatchers for more photos and info!

1. Dance Legend - Sub Zero

Yes, this is a thermal, but what really interests me is the contrast between the teal base and flakies and the red-gold shimmer. Love it when different elements of a polish come together like this! (Dance Legend shop | swatch by More Nail Polish)

2. Femme Fatale - Mirror, Mirror, On the Wall...

This seriously looks like the nail polish (hoof polish?) that a unicorn would wear. Freaking magical! (Femme Fatale shop | swatch by Very Emily)

3. Glam Polish - Lehua

I don't normally go for reds, but this one has enough purple in it to make me like it, plus the blue-green flakies really pop (it's kind of the same reason why I like Sub Zero up above!). (Glam Polish shop | swatch by Royal Milk Tea)

4. Literary Lacquers - Avada Kedavra

Ooh, love the way those green glitters lurk under the brown base! It's a shame we don't see more glitter polishes with matte bases. (Literary Lacquers shop | swatch by The Mercurial Magpie)

5. Serum No. 5 - March 2015

So much depth with just one color! I continue to be impressed with Serum No. 5's glitter mixes. Too bad this one was LE! (Serum No. 5 shop | swatch by The Mercurial Magpie)

Honorable mention: Picture Polish - Desire

February's Gimme That Polish!

Yes, I realize February has been over for several days now...I guess I inadvertently took a little blogging break! I have an excuse though...over the weekend I found out I got accepted into a Master's program, so I'll be going back to school (again) next fall! Woohoo!!

Anyway, here are my top five lemmings from my Pinterest board last month. As always, click the links to visit the original bloggers' posts!

1. KBShimmer Funky Cold Patina

KBShimmer really hit it out of the park with glitter crellies in their spring collection, and this one's my favorite. Mostly because of that gorgeous aqua base! (KBShimmer shop | swatch by The Nail Polish Challenge)

2.  Glam Polish Leilani (Heavenly Flower)

I couldn't NOT pick this one because a) it's a delicious shade of purple and b) look at those flakies pop! A terrific mix of textures here. (Glam Polish shop | swatch by Lacquerstyle)

3. Spell Polish Friendly Omens

Another lovely crelly! I think the grey base prevents this one from looking too carnival-esque, and the opacity looks perfect. (Spell Polish shop | swatch by Very Emily)

4. Dance Legend Bereginya

I am constantly in awe over Dance Legend's stuff. I love the delicate, natural base color of this one--it makes me think of jade. (Dance Legend shop | swatch by Very Emily)

5. CrowsToes The Terminal Engagement

I suppose this polish isn't super original, but there's something about dark colors with super strong shimmer that just calls to me... (CrowsToes site | swatch by Pointless Cafe)

Honorable Mention: Lacquer Lust Ultraviolet

August Gimme That Polish!

Happy Labor Day! Hope my fellow Americans have a relaxing day planned! I'm going to be mixing nail polish all day. :-D

Today I've got my top five polishes from my Pinterest wishlist board for August. It's a mix of summery and autumnal shades, since fall is indeed creeping up on us! Make sure to go visit the original bloggers' posts for more details!

1. Dance Legend - Moorland

OK, you really have to click on the image so you can see the full glory of this polish! It has these tiny black flecks that give it an amazing smoky look! I always know a polish is well done when I start thinking about how I might be able to reproduce the effect! (Dance Legend store | swatch by Nail Polish Wars)

2. I Love Nail Polish - Black Orchid

I actually had a really hard time picking my favorite polish from the ILNP fall collection, but this deep winey/plummy holo kept calling to me! I'm such a sucker for vampy polishes! (ILNP store | swatch by ChrissyAI)

3. Dollish Polish - So Long and Thanks for All the Fish

Not only is this polish a tribute to an amazing book series (and an amazing author...RIP Douglas Adams!), but I absolutely love the glitter mix, especially those little pops of green! (Dollish Polish store | swatch by Accio Lacquer)

4. Lavish Polish - Short Shorts

This one is making me think of candy! I love the purple, of course, and I think those teal glitters really round out this polish in a perfect way. (Lavish Polish store | swatch by Lacquer: The Best Medicine)

5. KBShimmer - A Raisin to Live

OK, first off, I'm usually pretty sick of puns in nail polish names, but this one amused me! Love the deep vampy jelly with the pops of holo glitter! (KBShimmer store | swatch by The Mercurial Magpie)

Honorable mention goes to: OPI DS Titanium

March's Gimme That Polish!

Hey everyone! March is coming to an end (already?!), and that means it's time for Gimme That Polish! These are my top five polishes I pinned on my Pinterest wishlist this month. I confess I've gotten really behind on blog reading lately, but I still managed to find five lemmings (I mean really, that's not hard)!

1. Jindie Nails - Anniversary Seaquins

This isn't a new polish, but it's new to me. You probably know by now that I love all crelly glitter polishes, and I'm drooling over the sheer amount and variety of glitters in this one! (Jindie Nails shop | swatch by Lacquer is the Best Medicine)

2. Dance Legend - Strutter

Dance Legend is a Russian brand that I've been admiring from afar for a long time--they do a lot of stuff you don't normally see in commercial brands over here! Check this one out...a green/teal with holo shimmer and green microflakies. An explosion of green! I have a feeling that if I was wearing this polish, I wouldn't be able to stop staring at my nails. (Dance Legend shop with list of international stockists | swatch by Pointless Cafe)

3. Model City - Nemesis

I love moody shades like this! Nemesis is a muted olive scattered holographic. It's not bright or in-your-face, but still fascinating to look at! (Model City shop | swatch by Nail Polish Wars)

4. Polish Me Silly - Toe-tally Cosmic

I know it seems like there are a million of these super-multichrome polishes around lately, but this one is unique to me because it seems more "grown-up" thanks to that plum-brown color shift. (The colors get louder when layered over black.) It shifts to gold, green, blue and purple! (Polish Me Silly shop | swatch by Nailz Craze)

5. Models Own - Magpie

Ahhh speckled polishes! Yes they've been done before (I have a couple myself), but I still want them all. Models Own has a new collection of them called Speckled Eggs. I love the base color in this one, of course. I wish UK brands were easier to get!  (Models Own shop, also available at Ninja Polish | swatch by UKNailRunner)

What'd you think of my top five? What polishes are you lusting after right now?
